How companies are giving back this holiday season
This holiday season will be like no other we’ve experienced in our lifetime… Businesses that would normally be booming are shuttering doors, lineups for food banks are longer than ever, Santa visits sequestered to Zoom and no in person holiday parties in sight, the outlook for this holiday season seems pretty grim.

But out of all darkness always comes a little bit of light. Some companies have made it their mission to spread some joy this holiday season.

In a pre-pandemic world, companies would be spending big on holiday events to celebrate the season and give back to their employees. With Covid restrictions in place these events clearly cannot happen. Instead of just cancelling and saving the budget, many companies are paying it forward, giving to charity and giving back to their communities.

When speaking of charitable companies, it would be remiss not to mention Mattamy Homes. No stranger to charity, Mattamy Homes has a long history of charitable acts ranging from massive donations to healthcare to grants for charities working to combat climate change. This season, Mattamy Homes, in collaboration with Pop! Events Group, will be donating more than $20,000 worth of toys to toy drives helping children in need across Ontario.

“At Mattamy, we are committed to making a difference in our communities. This year more than ever, there are families who need help, and it is our privilege to lend a helping hand. We’re pleased to do our part in bringing some holiday cheer to children across Ontario.”
– Dave McLean, GTE Division President
