Events teambuilding races are part of what makes our clients’ events so special, and despite everyone saying they don’t like running, as soon as that whistle sounds everyone starts enjoying themselves. People love the thrill of the race. It’s the most basic form of human competition, and there’s no better way to get people involved and bonding than some good old fashioned competition, right?
Our races are awesome, but they are nothing in comparison to some of the world’s greatest races. So in honour of the team building events we run for our clients in Toronto, here are the best races in the world:
The New York Marathon
The Big Apple. There’s no place in the world quite like it. New York City is America’s largest metropolis and a center of world trade and finance. At the heart of it all is Manhattan Island, a place that is truly larger than life. With some of the world’s tallest and most imposing buildings, there’s no wonder that it makes such a great location for a race! Nearly 50,000 runners finished the race last year at an average time of just over 4 hours and 30 minutes. It’s hard to put this run anywhere but the top spot. We promise that our races are shorter.
Italy Coast to Coast
Imagine a relay race that runs from one coast to the other coast of one of the world’s most beautiful nations, winding through quaint villages throughout Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche. Now imagine that after each day (there are 4 days and about 55 miles in total between the 4-person teams), you get to sample the famous local food and wine. Italy Coast to Coast is one of the world’s most beautiful and exciting races, and the food is to die for. Rock ‘n’ Roll Maratona de Lisboa
This is a marathon with an awesome twist: runners will enjoy over 30 bands playing live music throughout the course! The race makes its way from the coastal Portuguese town of Cascais to the capital city of Lisbon, winding through the banks of the Tagus river. The live music aspect makes this race quite unique, and we capture a bit of that spirit at the races we run for our clients: Pop! Events races feature amazing music too!
The Great Wall Marathon
This is perhaps the most epic marathon on earth. For over 17 years, this course has become legendary – it’s one of the world’s most challenging races. Taking place along the majestic Great Wall of China, this race attracts over 2,500 runners from around the world. If you’re up for a challenge at your next event, we can add inflatable obstacles that will give you a workout much like the Great Wall’s 5,164 steps.
