Tap Dance Show

Audiences will love the high energy of tap dancing. The New Yorker gives a brief history of the origins of Tap Dancing. It was created by extremely poor people from Ireland and West Africa. From there Tap Dancing emerged as one of the greatest forms of entertainment. From the 1920's to the 1950's Tap was everywhere: in movies, musicals, vaudeville and clubs. It had a strong revival in the 1970's and audiences are still mesmerized by the sound of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.
